My Ganu 🙂
Ganesh Chaturthi a festival of my personal favorite and celebrated with lots of love and devotion every year.
With every passing year i got a chance to put in more in Bappa’s seva..
and this year it was a pure delight!
I remember those school days where my Ganapati holidays were sandwiched with some homework 😉
Those golden days when the only thing i had to do was to scribble on book and eat lavishly and watch in utter delight all the beautiful decoration done and just be a witness.
But as years passed, my love for Bappa did go on a rise and every year i awaited to serve HIM!
Those days wherein i would get up and first have a glimpse of my Bappa and then start off anything 🙂
Those days when i would first think of adorning my Bappa with the Garlands and incense sticks and then taking my first morsel of food 🙂
Oh my Bappa 🙂
It seemed so alive as if just come as a friend to hear me out 🙂
Ganapati Bappa’s other names are Sukha-karta – The one who gives happiness & Dukha- Harta – The one who takes away sorrows!
Truly the days HE arrives my front room and my whole house seems so different so beautiful, so blissful and so divine.. 🙂
The Ganapati Stuti Bhajans -songs sung in the praise of Ganapati ; the smell of the incense stick and the mesmerising idol of Ganesha!
Wow! I could hardly take my eyes off HIM and would want to be around HIM 🙂
And HE makes sure HE is served well 😉
Serving HIM surely made me contented prayerful and back in the cheek to cheek smile 😀
This year whenever the Song would start in praise of Bappa, i practised to listen the words and found each of the songs so prayerful!
Truly as if my prayers were just sung in those songs 🙂
One of the songs said.. Tu Sukh karta.. Tu Dukh Harta. Tuch karta and Karavita!
wow! you only are one who gives happiness and the one who takes away sorrow.. You are the doer and the one who makes me do 🙂
Days would start with a prayer to the divine that : Oh lord Let me serve you! Show me how do i serve you 🙂 Guide me to serve you!
and Each day would seem so magical then 🙂
Running early morning to Dadar Phool Market to get the garland of HIS choice 🙂
Coming back and adorning HIM with the beautiful garland.. the Diya. the incense sticks and the flowers 🙂
Doing Puja never seemed so beautiful before 🙂
What followed everyday was Arti 🙂
Arti is a beautiful beautiful form of worshipping the Divine 🙂
I made sure this time i utter each word and mean each of those words 🙂
Being in present moment and meaning the words said during Arti rather than just saying in chorus is so so so prayerful wow!
Once my Bappa was adorned with the flowers, worshipped by the Puja, and been prayed during the Arti..
its time for HIM to eat 😉
Naivaidham Samarpayami.. I offer the Food to u 🙂 With this small prayer i offer the food to the divine 🙂
Afternoon used to be one’s for other household work 😉 😛
Cleaning maintaing and checking if anything’s needed for the evening 🙂
Evening starts with Sandhyavandana.. Bowing down to HIM in the evening 🙂
and then guests would pour in as and when and as they say Guests are God.. Athithi Devo Bhav.. We made sure we served our Gods 😉
As guests would make their way out..
Arti would make its way in .. 🙂
Dhup Arti.. 🙂 Praying at Night 🙂
At the end of Arti there is a beautiful Prayer
Dolyane Pahin Rup tujhe
twamev sarva mam dev dev
karomi yad yad sakalam parasmai
narayan iti samarpayami
achyutam keshvam ram narayanam
krishna damodar vasudevam hari
shridharam madhavam gopika vallabham
janki nayakam ramchandra bhaje..
hare ram hare ram
ram ram hare hare
hare krushna hare krushna
krushna krushna hare hare!
its so self explanatory! i love the lines
Whatever i do by this body speech mind,through five senses,through intellect,through atman,by nature,behaviour,
whatever i do i offer every bit to Lord Narayana!
You Are everything to me and with this limited knowledge of mine whatever i offer is to You, Oh Lord Narayana!
Arti follows Sumptous dinner 😀
and then a restful sleep thanking Bappa for letting us serve HIM and by asking forgiveness for what did not go well 🙂
Thank you Bappa for a beautiful day 🙂
This year my Bappa was for six days at my home 🙂
and each day HE made sure the bond was deeper with us 🙂
HE made us serve HE made us smile 🙂
that it made us so difficult to let HIM go 😦 😥
I just did not feel so Good letting HIM go 😦
All these days HE stayed as a Best friend 🙂
